Fundraising: The Doghouse
Brighton area residents need to be on the lookout because they are at risk of being “bulldogged.'’
That’s the term that Judi Burns, the Brighton High School choir director, has coined to describe the choir’s fundraising effort to replace the choir’s risers, which she says are falling apart.
“We’re putting people in the doghouse and putting bulldog paws in their yards,'’ says Burns. “We started at our principal Ken Hamman’s house.
“Parents and students worked together building doghouses. They attach letters to them requesting donations. The doghouses and bulldog paws are put in people’s yards for 24 hours until the person designates the next person to be put in the doghouse.'’
