Travel Tips: Kleenex

Travel tip from Maureen Addiego of Newark (thanks to Bari Brenner of the Bay Area): I had been prepared by other college friends who had traveled to Europe to bring packets of Kleenex (which I still do to this day no matter where I travel) so I’d have some toilet paper. I had been told that the toilet paper (when I could find any) was like brown paper bags or waxed paper, and that was the truth.
That was back in l967. On subsequent trips in l981 with my husband, and in 1994 and 1998 with my son, things had gotten better and better along those lines. But bringing your own little packet of Kleenex is one of the best travel tips I could impart to anyone — no matter where they plan to travel.
