Chili and classical music — what a combo!
The two will hook up during the Muncie Symphony League Chili Cook-off from 5-8 p.m. Thursday in the lobby of Horizon Convention Center….
How does the cook-off work?
For $5, chili fans will get a taste of all six offerings, then vote for their favorite. They will then get a bowl of their favorite chili, along with toppings, veggies, dessert and a beverage…
As for the other parties involved, the maker of the winning chili gets bragging rights. They also get two tickets to an upcoming concert and prominent mention of their chili-making prowess.
The Muncie Symphony Orchestra gets all proceeds from the Symphony League event….
Briner said members of the youth symphony will perform during the event, which organizers hope to make an annual fund-raiser.
