The Pointe Singers at a concert in Traiskirchen…

…performing to an enthuastic audience.

The pictures above were taken last night during the Grosse Pointe South High School show choir’s European concert tour with Music Celebrations International. The choir is under the direction of Ellen Bowen.

The concert pictured above is in a small village (Traiskirchen) near Vienna. Other highlights of this tour include:
–an evening concert in Bad Ischl’s Kongresshaus
–a performance in a service at Maria Plain Church in Salzburg
–An evening dinner reception with Dr. Jutta Unkart-Seifert, President of the European Cultural Initiative and a well-known German “Liedsinger”
–an exchange concert in a music school in Vienna
–attendance at a Mozart Opera
–a tour of the Museum of the Vienna Philharmonic
–a guided tour of the infamous Nazi concentration camp for children in Terezin
–concert at the Gymnasium na Zatlance in Prague
–tours in Prague including the Dvorak Museum and the Mozart Museum at the Bertramka
–concert at St. Nicholas Church in Old Town Square in Prague
