St. Joseph High School Symphonic Band & Symphony Orchestra Tour Italy & Austria

The St. Joseph High School Symphonic Band & Symphony Orchestra recently toured northern Italy and western Austria as part of the American Celebration of Music in Europe and the Celebrate Mozart Orchestra Tour. While on tour, the 150 members of the combined groups, performed in the Piazza della Signoria, in the heart of Florence, in S. Stefano Church near Florence’s famed Ponte Vecchio, in the Piazza dei Signori in Treviso (near Venice), in Innsbruck’s Hofgarten Music Pavilion, and at the Music Pavilion of St. Gilgen, outside of Salzburg.

We just returned from Italy and Austria in June of 2006 with the St. Joseph High School Symphony Orchestra and Band. MCI did a nice job for us on that tour. It was a wonderful trip!

-Steve Reed, Orchestra Director, St. Joseph High School

More information on their tour may be found here.

The 220+ travelers had a wonderful time in taking in all the sites and performing in these grand spaces!
