Barron Collier High School Band Returns From China

I need to tell you that this [tour to China] was my 10th international tour, and by far the best one ever!
Brian Cheung was an amazing Tour Manager. He was polite but firm when it came to making sure we were in the right place at the right time with the right clothes on. We never could have made it without him!
The Xi’an Welcome Ceremony was just over the top. I can’t believe this was arranged especially for us. Brian told me those only take place about three times per year. I was absolutely floored when I found out that Bill Clinton and Jackie Chan had the same ceremony presented to them!
Judy, one of our other Tour Managers, taught us a China friend song on the bus one day. I remember it so well that I can still sing it. Eventually the entire group learned it and found themselves singing it throughout the tour. One day we ran into a tour group from Korea, who asked us to sing a song (knowing we were a music group from America). So, we sang this Friend Song to them, and they knew it. In response, they sang a hymn back to the group. Very moving.
Really, I’m still completely floored by how flawless the China staff managed all six of our tour busses. Totally seamless, and everyone was on time.
An A+++ tour! I’ll only work with MCI, forever and ever!
