Beech Grove High School Choir Honors Abraham Lincoln in the Kennedy Center
I loved the level of singers and ensembles chosen for the Festival. Univ. of Wisconsin was a fantastic representative, talent and hosts. The singers made the high schoolers feel welcome and pushed them to perform to their best. The Kennedy Center, the conductor and the Youth Orchestra — all breath taking. The highlight was the students’ reaction to the historically significant events: Arlington Cemetery; Lincoln Memorial; Concert at the Kennedy Center, etc. Their patriotism and personal experience was stretched and expanded day after day. The students loved the concert and the memorials. One of the highlights of my personal teaching experiences!
